Low Calorie Oatmeal Apple Raisin Muffins




This recipe is based on a recipe from Sun-Maid.  I changed a few things to make them a little healthier.

Low Calorie Oatmeal Apple Raisin Muffins


1/3 cup of raisins
1 cup cored, peeled, chopped apple
1/4 cup apple sauce (unsweetened)
3/4 cup almond milk
1 egg beaten
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup of sugar
1 cup of whole oats (uncooked)
2 tsps baking powder
2 tsps ground cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbs packed brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla


Preheat oven to 400.
Grease muffin tin.
Mix ingredients together.
Divide evenly into a 12 cup muffin tin.
Bake for 20 minutes watching that the sides do not over brown.
Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes.

109 calories per muffin!

  1. I made these last night and they are yummy. I actually used 1/2 cup honey instead of the sugars (and turned the temp down to 375) and they still turned out great. Thanks for the recipe!
